Detailed itinerary

1

Of all popular waterfalls scattered across Bali, Tukad Cepung seems to be the most virgin and it is self-evidently magnificent. The waterfall is guarded by small canyon which takes about 10 minutes of walking down a series of stairs followed by wading through streams of water. The area makes for great photography, particularly in morning when the sun ray seeps in mystically.

2

Tibumana may not be the biggest or tallest waterfall in Bali, but it’s still a must-see if you don’t want to left an understatement in your waterfall tour. The palm tree road before the parking lot presents a lot of opportunity for nice pictures, while the trail down to the waterfall - which is mostly flat and surrounded by colorful jungle paths - offers off-beat exploration to nearby villages.

3
Stop 3

Kanto Lampo is another hidden gem located at the eastern side of Ubud which is known for its picturesque flow of water on a bunch of seemingly stacked rocks. Compared to other waterfalls in Bali, this one is comparatively easier to access, which only takes 5 minutes of walk down about 50 steps to the water. You can either swim or shower as a refreshment beside taking pictures.

4
Stop 4

This is the most popular waterfall in Ubud and definitely not one of Bali’s secret or secluded waterfalls, but that also has its perks of easy access and facilities. After getting through entrance you will take a 5-minute walk down the trail (about 100 steps) which is fairly easy thanks to the well-maintained pathway. Upon descending, you will be greeted by green valley panorama before reaching the cascade where you can swim, take pictures and do a lot fun on your own.

5
Stop 5

The palace was built by Ida Tjokorda Putu Kandel, King of Ubud circa 1820 which initially functioned as government center. Today, Puri Saren serves as a repository for Balinese cultural legacy in art and literature to the benefit of local artists and historians alike.
