The "Giant of Monterosso" likely refers to a statue called "Il Gigante" located in Monterosso al Mare, one of the five villages of Cinque Terre. Here's some information about it:
Il Gigante is situated along the coastline of Monterosso al Mare, near the western end of the beach.
The statue is a monumental figure of Neptune, the Roman god of the sea. It was originally built in the early 20th century as a decoration for a villa owned by a rich Florentine, but the villa was later destroyed during World War II. The statue, however, survived and remains as a prominent landmark.
