Enjoying the peaceful view at Thanh Toan spiritual bridge – a 100 years old bridge locating in Thuy Thanh commune, Huong Thuy district is one of the most beautiful villages in Hue. It is famous for its beautiful roads, peaceful rural landscape and particularly the tile-roofed bridge.
The Elephant Springs, around 53 kilometers from Hue, is an excellent natural spring that is well worth a visit. Particularly on a hot day, the natural pool below a small waterfall makes for a very refreshing dip when you sluice yourself down the smooth rocks at the base of the falls, and there are plenty more spots upstream to explore.
Eating on floating restaurants at the Lang Co Beach. It is an attractive island-like stretch of palm-shaded white sand, with a turquoise lagoon on one side and 10km of beachfront on the other. As a beach resort, it’s more geared to Vietnamese day-trippers than Western travelers, but if the weather’s nice the ocean is certainly inviting.
The Hai Van, the top of the pass has a number of lookout points with panoramic views looking out to the mountains and sea beyond explaining for the reason why it becomes a well-known as one of the best coastal roads in the world for driving (thanks to a stint on BBC’s Top Gear) along around 30 km above 1,600 feet from sea level.
