Wondering what to do in Athens for kids that’s both fun and meaningful? This 90-min experience is among the most engaging family activities in the city.

Your adventure takes place at the National Garden, together with an enthusiastic facilitator. You’ll head into the shaded greenery of this peaceful former royal retreat.

Once settled on a mat, your family will explore replicas of ancient toys. Through interactive storytelling and images, you’ll discover how kids played 3,000 years ago.

Then it’s game time! Guided by authentic sources, you’ll play five ancient Greek games using handmade replicas. Laugh, compete, and learn about classical life through play.

Choose one themed learning path:
• Mythical Path: Hear five myths about Hercules.
• History Path: Learn about childhood in Athens and Sparta.

End the experience with a souvenir gift and a Garden map to continue exploring on your own.

Perfect for families seeking hands-on, cultural fun.

In the case the National Garden is closed for any reason, the activity will take place at the green open area of Zappeion (right next to the National Garden). Meeting point remains the same.
This is an outdoor experience therefore it requires good weather. In case it is canceled due to poor weather, you will be notified at least 3 hours ahead, and will be offered the option to choose between a different date, or a full refund.
Attending this activity in public space means you consent to photo/video shooting which may occur within the course of this service, including the future publication of this material by us or the other participants. You may withdraw your consent at any time (before or after the workshop) by contacting us in writing. We shall not be held accountable for pictures and videos of you, taken by others during our services and for the use of such photo and video materials by those third parties.
Facilitators/ Instructors are First Aid trained & certified, however, by law, they are not allowed to provide any medication, so please have your medication with you (especially for allergies, since you will be outdoors).
