Detailed itinerary

We will arrive to a traditional Mexican market where you will visit the most popular and famous spot in the market “Taqueria La Lupita” where Don Pedro and Doña Lupita, the owners, will serve you a Cochinita Pibil taco and other antojitos Yucatecos (snacks), like turkey salbut or panucho. If you are Vegan, let your guide know before arriving at the market, so he will take care of your dietary special requests.

We will continue walking around Santiago's neighborhood and visiting to learn about the history of one of the first European explorers who arrived in Yucatán at the end of the 19th century and stayed there. We will also take the opportunity to visit the small cafe located in the house and enjoy a delicious Mexican artisanal chocolate.

Stop 3

We will drive to Plaza Grande, while enjoying a panoramic view of La Mejorada and La Ermita neighborhoods and learning about its history. At arrival we will do a walking guided tour visiting the San Ildefonso Cathedral, the Casa de Montejo and the murals at Government Palace.

Walking guided tour along ¨Calle 60¨ learning about the history of the most emblematic buildings located along this street to arrive to the Santa Lucia Park where your driver will be waiting for you.

We will taste the traditional local sorbet at the most famous “sorbetería” in Mérida.

Panoramic guided visit along the Paseo de Montejo’s avenue. During this part of the tour, you will learn about the history of the French-style colonial mansions located along this avenue. We will make a stop at the “Monumento a la Patria” to take a closer look at the details printed by the artist Romulo Roso and capture one of the city's most iconic photos.

We will end this tour in a traditional cantina of Merida where you will taste a local beer and Mexican distillated drink.
