Detailed itinerary

1

Meet your private native team at Thira JTR Airport, Athinios port, Fira cable car exit, Santorini hotel, and private villas if you are more than four people. Your tour includes a private native guide, private professional driver, bottled water, and a sample of 8 local wines. Visit Argyros Estate, Hatzidakis winery, or Avantis cellars and Perivolos black sandy beach for lunch and choose to taste wine from Argyros Estate winery or the local beer (Crazy, Red, and Yellow). Alternatively, ask your local guide for their inside take on what to see and do, and perhaps discover some of the experiences and places that other visitors never get to witness.

2

During the tour, our guests will have the opportunity to taste Santorini wines and Greek dishes, Cycladic cheeses, and traditional food at the local taverna. The aim of the tour is to introduce guests to Greek cuisine in a fun and informative manner from a local point of view, presenting not only the flavors and ingredients of Mediterranean cuisine but also the beauty of Santorini as a world-renowned destination.

3

The second winery, Artemis Karamolegos, is one of the most dynamic wineries in Santorini. Inspired by his grandfather, who took up winemaking and viticulture as a hobby in the 1950s, Artemis founded his winery in 2004, growing it to become the third largest winery by volume on Aegean island. They own just over 3 hectares of vineyards (some over 100 years old) in Pyrgos, Megalorchori, Exo Gonia, Akrotiri, and Fira and have long-term contracts to cultivate another 5 hectares. They specialize in Assyrtiko, with various wines and styles, including numerous vine wines with serious vines (over 150 years old). The progressive and well-traveled Artemis and the talented young winemaker Lefteris Anagnostou have released the first orange wine from Santorini and are experimenting with their custom cement tanks. The winery has become a destination, opening the popular Aroma Avlis Food & Wine restaurant and offering cooking classes.

Our guests can taste Santorini wines and Greek dishes, Cycladic cheeses, and traditional food at the local taverna during the tour. The tour aims to introduce guests to Greek cuisine in a fun and informative manner from a regional point of view, presenting not only the flavors and ingredients of Mediterranean cooking but also the beauty of Santorini as a world-renowned destination. From fava (the island's famous split pea puree) to tomato keftedes (to you and me), we've hunted down the best local dishes to try on the crescent-shaped, volcano-molded Cycladic island. Once you've mastered the local pronunciation, don't forget to order a glass (or two) of assyrtiko wine, a local variety.
