About this experience

Châteauneuf du Pape intensive vineyard & fine wine experience, the best of the Rhône valley wines and history & origin of the appellation.

If your a lover of fine wines & want to experience a special day visiting some of the best vineyards of Châteauneuf du Pape, including Château Fortia who's history dates back to the 17th century and in the 19th century under the ownership of Baron Le Roy, created France's first AOC - world standard for wine. Time for lunch in a restaurant in the village. It's the heart of a region rich in history & joie de vivre. At the summit stands the ruined château built by the popes in 14th century. During the afternoon a visit to two very different vineyards - a winemaker with a 8ha vineyard & second a family estate owned by six generations of wine makers. This is an immersive experience that takes you beyond just wine tasting. An exceptional day out with a few surprises along the way including tasting a few rarer vintages when available.
