Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

The Garganta do Céu trail starts at the same starting point as the traditional Pedra da Gávea trail. Although it is shorter, this trail is considered more difficult because it is steeper and requires good orientation in the Atlantic Forest. The forest is dense until you reach the Garganta do Céu cave, from where you will have one of the most beautiful views of the city of Rio de Janeiro. This cave is located on the south face of Pedra da Gávea, where the rock forms a beautiful natural frame and a viewpoint from which you can see a unique angle of Dois Irmãos hill and São Conrado beach.
After a break for photos, we will return by the same path to the starting point where we met at the beginning of the trail.
This hiking tour takes place within sector C of the Tijuca National Park, which means that you are within the Atlantic Forest of Rio de Janeiro and have a great chance of seeing wild animals during the hike. Be part of the select group of who have already visited Garganta do Céu.
