Built by Frederick II of Swabia in the 13th century, the Castle dominates, with its massive octagonal structure, universally considered a brilliant example of medieval architecture. The mathematical and astronomical rigor of its planimetry, based on the eight as a guide number and its positioning, designed to create particular symmetries of light in the days of solstice and equinox, create a symbolism that has fascinated scholars for centuries, leaving visitors a feeling of pleasant enigma.

Next to the marvelous Gulf of Manfredonia, the beautiful town of Trani rises by the sea. Narrow alleys rich in charm chase each other throughout the historic center, which, with its rich medieval past, attracts thousands of tourists every year.
Right on the waterfront, in front of the marina, stands the beautiful Cathedral of Trani, another magnificent example of Apulian Romanesque architecture.
Built during the Norman domination starting from the year 1099, it was commissioned by the Byzantine bishop after the death and canonization of San Nicola Pellegrino
