Drive towards east of Salalah and visit the old fishing village of Taqah, famous for the manufacture of Dried Sardines & its traditional & old Dhofari Houses.
Visit the century old Taqah Castle , the former official residence of the Governor of the region the Taqa Castle, a fortified house of the Wali and Typical Dhofari Houses with carved doors.
To the East of Taqa lies the ruin of Sumhurum (Khor Rori), The city was the easternmost outpost of the Hadramawt Kingdom on the ancient incense route between the Mediterranean Sea, Persian Gulf and India. Khor Rori was an important port on the coast of Dhofar .
Continue through the mountain down to Wadi Darbat the ancient capital of Dhofar: this is one of the famous wadis among wadis Oman. there is a lovely lake which falls a 500ft vertical drop over. This is one of the world magnificent natural phenomena Existed in Oman .
Later find out Tawi Atayr one of the world largest Sink Holes (211 m deep & 150 m in diameter),

Continue to visit Jabal Samhan , that has hight of 2100 meter , enjoy Panoramic view from the top of the mountain , you may see some animals as camels or Nubian goats .
A drive along the coastal road leads you to Mirbat the old city of Arabian horses and Slave trade.
Now you will have a photo stop at Bin Ali tomb (dates back to the 14th century),
passing by Mirbat Castle and the Old Merchant Houses, then heading to Salalah, .
