Stop 1

A 90-minute trip from Kuching by car and longboat brings you to this small peninsula, home to several distinct rainforest ecosystems and a lively variety of flora and fauna. Watch for the bizarre proboscis monkeys, silvered langurs, and long-tailed macaques, plus wild boars, flying squirrels, monitor lizards, and hundreds of species of birds.

Along with the unique geology of the coastline, you get a look at fascinating plant life including mangroves, strangling figs, carnivorous pitcher plants, and symbiotic ant plants. Well-marked trails lead to rugged jungle-covered hilltops and secluded beaches, where you can enjoy & admire the scenery before your ride back to Kuching.
