About this experience

This is a Tailor-made road trip of Lefkada mountain villages, combining tourism and authentic adventure, wine tasting, photography, and heritage.

This tour is dedicated to the traditional local tastes of Lefkada island and is the best way to spend your holiday on the island!

You will explore the villages of Karya, Exanthia, Englouvi, and the top of the mountain with its famous White Church of Prophitis Ilias, and a picturesque view!

The local guide speaks perfect English and will give you plenty of information about the island and its culture, he will also offer you local wines for wine tasting, cold bottled water, seasonal fruits, and local specialties (the menu is designed by our nutritionist).

After the tour, you will receive 20 professional digital pictures from us for a long memory.

Karya is the biggest village in the mountain of Lefkada. We will visit the Folklore Museum here, and you will learn about the history of the village and meet the unique handcrafted embroideries made by local women. We will go around the beautiful small footpaths of Karya and get some pictures with a remarkable view. If you want to have lunch here, it is highly recommended to have lunch at the most beautiful village square on the island. Huge plane trees make the perfect natural shadow to enjoy your meal or ouzo with meze. The quality of food is excellent, made out of local products and traditional recipes. The prices are extremely low comparing to the seaside.

Please bear in mind that the entrance fee to the Museum of Karya is 2.5 EUR per person.

Exanthia village is a traditional mountain village of Lefkada with a great view of the Ionian sea. We will check a spot for the local wine tasting.

Englouvi is famous worldwide for its unique lentils. It is a small village really close to the top of the mountain. The village consists of a few permanents. The scenery is amazing for pictures: old houses, traditional atmosphere, and a small picturesque square right in the middle where we can relax having a beverage.

After the village we will visit the "moon-like" area and the abandoned US Airforce Camp with huge antennas. The view is magnificent here! You will have a chance to see the white and blue stunning Church of Prophet Ilias closeby, with an amazing view to the south-east part of the island.

Above all we will pass many unnamed spots and attractions of the island, that are not listed on the map- you will have chance to stop and explore the area anytime you desire.
