Detailed itinerary

9:00 AM: Meet your guide at your hotel lobby in Mumbai. After a brief introduction, hop into your comfortable private vehicle, and head towards the first destination of the day.

9:30 AM: Depart for Jogeshwari Caves, which are located around 15 km from Mumbai city center. During the 45-minute drive, your guide will provide you with some interesting insights into the history of Mumbai and its cultural heritage.

10:15 AM: Arrive at Jogeshwari Caves and start your guided tour of the ancient rock-cut caves. The caves date back to the 6th century and are believed to have been carved out of a basaltic rock by Buddhist monks. During your visit, you'll get to explore some of the 21 caves and observe the intricate carvings, sculptures, and paintings that depict various Buddhist deities and mythological stories.

12:00 PM: Break for lunch at a nearby restaurant, where you'll get to taste some of the local delicacies of Mumbai.

1:00 PM: Depart for Crawford Market, which is located in the heart of the city. The market has been around for over a century and is a hub for shopping for a variety of items, ranging from fresh fruits and vegetables to handicrafts and souvenirs.

1:30 PM: Upon reaching Crawford Market, your guide will take you on a walking tour of the market, where you'll get to see the vibrant and colorful stalls and shops, interact with the local vendors, and purchase some authentic souvenirs.

2:30 PM: Leave Crawford Market and head towards Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, a beautiful museum that houses a vast collection of art, artifacts, and historical objects. The museum is located in a stunning heritage building and is considered one of the best museums in India.

3:00 PM: Upon reaching the museum, your guide will purchase the museum entry ticket for foreigners, which includes Museum Entry, an Audio Guide, and a Mobile photo pass. Explore the various galleries and exhibits that showcase the rich cultural and historical heritage of India. Some of the highlights of the museum include the collection of miniature paintings, sculptures, and decorative arts. (As per new rules, guides are not allowed to provide any commentary inside the museum.)

5:00 PM: Leave the museum and head towards the Kala Ghoda Art District, which is known for its vibrant street art, galleries, and cultural events.

5:00 PM: Upon reaching the Kala Ghoda Art District, your guide will take you on a walking tour of the area, where you'll get to explore the various murals, installations, and galleries. You'll also get to interact with some of the local artists and gain insights into their creative process.
