The first gold processing operation in the Caribbean was right here on Aruba at Bushiribana ca.1872. You can walk inside the ruins where they crushed the ore taken from the surrounding hills. Known as the “Cave Pool” or “New Natural Pool” this hidden gem is definitely “hidden”. A local secret you will remember forever! Situated near the Bushiribana Goldmill Ruins, you will descend a sturdy ladder down to a sizable, craggy limestone slab which hides this precious natural pool from the pounding surf. Sit on the limestone and gaze at the crystal clear water with a gleaming white sandy bottom or jump in. Either way, you will love it!
