Buzios is an eight km long peninsula with 23 beaches. Among the main beaches, stand out Geribá, João Fernandes, Horseshoe, Ferradurinha ,, Armação, Manguinhos, Tortoise, Bones, Brava.
 And most of the year the waters of the sea remain crystal clear and with Caribbean colors. The region has several coves that make several beaches suitable for swimming only, such as: Forno, Olho de Boi, Ferradura and Ferradurinha beaches.
