Detailed itinerary

1
Stop 1

Get acquainted with the attractive Tallinn Old Town area and learn about the country of Estonia on this 3-hour private walking tour.

Our guide and driver will meet you at Tallinn cruise port exit gate. The cruise port exit gate is located 300 meters/0.2 miles/ 8 minutes walking from the ship. Your tour guide will be standing behind the exit gate holding a sign with your name written on it.

The tour begins with a 10-minute panoramic drive to Toompea Hill, where we start to discover the UNESCO-listed old city on foot. Toompea is a charming area that is home to Toompea Castle; the medieval defensive towers Kiek in de Kök and Tall Hermann; two cathedrals: one dedicated to St. Mary and another to St. Alexander Nevsky; and two viewpoints offering nice views for picture taking. Enjoy the scenic stroll and the enthralling commentary.

Then, we descend to the lower town, where your private tour continues with approx. 30-minute long visit away from the main sites. The tranquil ambience is the main attraction here, competing with the some great stories and insights.

Next, we head towards the Town Hall Square that has been the hub of the city since the 13th century. Highlights along the route include the medieval town wall and old merchants’ houses, the Great Guild House, Church of the Holy Spirit, the Town Hall, St Catherines Passage and one of the oldest pharmacies in Europe. Feel free to poke your head into cafes, workshops and galleries as we pass by to take note for later pleasures.

The tour ends at the Town Hall Square or nearby, depending on where you wish to spend the 1.5 hours of free time. After some exploration on your own, our driver will meet you at a designated spot (4-5 minutes walking from the Town Hall Square) and drives you back to the cruise port.
