About this experience

Baunei is considered among Sardinia's most spectacular stretches of coastline, but many of its tiny coves and caves are only accessible by sea. Explore the coastal highlights with this full-day cruise, stopping to swim and snorkel in hidden bays and isolated beaches inhabited by colorful fish and sometimes we can see dolphins. Visit the Grotta del Fico, one of the island's most famous caves, and dive into the turquoise waters all around.

Detailed itinerary

1

Brief stop to admire Cala Goloritzè, a protected paradise to admire the splendid local marine life, its arch and its pinnacle, a natural monument of Sardinia.

2

Still little known, overshadowed by the fame of nearby Cala Mariolu, it has the same characteristics: crystalline water tinged with green and blue, cliffs smoothed by time and a beach of pebbles. Swim, snorkel to admire the splendid local marine life.

3

Admire Cala Mariolu, swim, snorkel to admire the splendid local marine life, coffee break at the small kiosk. Possibility of scuba diving and snorkeling

4

Among the most popular caves of Sardinia, last monks seals refuge, the veranda on the blue of the Gulf of Orosei, hidden among the most beautiful coves of the Mediterranean for the location, the speleological characteristics and for the exciting visits!

5

One of the wonders of the Gulf of Orosei and Baunei and of the entire Mediterranean, chosen as the set for a cult of Italian cinema. Cala Luna is an inlet carved between the cliffs with a dazzling 800-metre 'strip' of very fine golden sand in the center that plunges into the clear blue-toned sea. Its backdrop, shallow in the first few meters, quickly becomes deep, appreciated by snorkelling, diving and underwater fishing enthusiasts. The cove with Polynesian features rises at the mouth of the Rio Illune, a stream that for millennia has dug a long canyon, the codula di Luna. The water flows along the gorge for kilometers and feeds a small lake behind the beach, surrounded by a grove of oleanders and Mediterranean scrub.

6

A corner of uncontaminated paradise, a pearl not only of Ogliastra but of the whole island: the glow produced by the sun's rays on the surface of the water contributes to giving the place a unique enchantment that attracts visitors from all over the world.

7

Il tragitto per andare a tornare da Arbatax a Cala Luna è due ore circa.
