About this experience

I am a retired highschool teacher who loves to interact with adults and kids alike.
I have skied the mountains of Colorado now for over 29 years and counting.

I am both the driver and guide and have a commercial insurance and certified as a guide and a (driver by the state of Colorado). Usually when booking a snowmobiling tour we will stop at some of the spectacular sites on the way, sites such as the World Famous Red Rock Park and Amphitheater and the Continental DIvide where you ascend to 12,000 feet and gaze at the Rocky Mountain Range all around you.

My focus is having the clients really enjoy themselves. I am not only a professional driver but I have over 10 years guiding and am certified by the International Guide Association.

As I a private guide I have the ability to make last minute ajustments to any tour that I do. I do not mix people from different groups as each tour is tailored to the group.

What you'll see

I pick up passengers at their location. For example I can pick up in Denver and take the passengers to their ski, snowmobiling, doggsledding, tubing destination. Cost of skiing, snowmobiling, dog sledding, is not included. I help with getting the clients with ski or snowboarding rentals and I can help get them to the slopes that match their abilities. Please note that I do not teach begginning lessons and I recommend that first timers take a lesson. On the way to the slopes or snowmobiling/dogsledding location I give them a little history of Colorado and show them Red Rocks Park and Amphitheater and if time the Continental Divide. Please note that there are many different activities to do in the mountains and usually there is time just for one or perhaps two. Please note dog sledding sells out in by November 5 or 6 for the Christmas week. Please see the options available. I personally recommend the tubing and extreme sledding however the dog sledding is also a lot of fun. Please note that the cost for ski lessons, tickets and snowmobiling/dog sledding are not included in the price. Also the activities need to be sometimes booked far in advance to ensure there is room. I provide the transportation and history of the area as well as some interesting local stories.
I grew up in Switzerland and France so at an early age I started skiing and did some racing as well so 30 years ago I moved to Colorado and am very familiar with the mountain areas. I would be happy to do a ski tour for intermediates and above. By law I do not teach beginners but I help navigate them towards the appropriate ski lessons.

At the end of the day I will transport the clients back to Denver or if they are staying at Vail or in other ski resorts in Summit County. This tour is also available from Colorado Springs but the route may be different as well as some sites.

What's not included

I do not include lunch or dinner.
Snowmobiling costs and dog sledding costs are not included in the cost of the tour as the costs vary.
Ski lessons or ski tickets are excluded as the costs can vary.
Tubing costs usually are about $49.00 per person.
