Detailed itinerary

1

The primatial cathedral of Santa Maria Assunta and Santa Cecilia is the main place of worship in Cagliari, mother church of the metropolitan archdiocese of the same name and parish church of the historic Castello district

2

Castello is the main of the four historic districts of the city of Cagliari. It stands in a prominent position, on a limestone hill, about one hundred meters above sea level. The Pisans founded this neighborhood in the 13th century, fortified it, providing it with walls, towers and bastions and transferred the seats of civil, military and religious power there from the judicial capital of Santa Igia,

3

The Bastion of Saint Remy is one of the symbolic monuments of Cagliari. Built between 1896 and 1902, the Bastion of Saint Remy is one of the most important fortifications in Sardinia and marks the border between two historic districts of Cagliari: Villanova and Castello.
During our stop it will be possible to admire the whole city from above and take splendid photos towards the Gulf of Cagliari.

4

The sanctuary of Our Lady of Bonaria is a religious complex in the city of Cagliari located at the top of the hill of the same name and is one of the most important Marian buildings in Sardinia

5

The Monte Urpinu Park is located on the hill of the same name and extends for over thirty-two hectares as a whole. Originally occupied by natural forestry, Monte Urpinu takes this name from the Sardinian word urpino, meaning fox, due to the large presence of fox specimens that inhabited it until a century ago.
The Viale Europa which surrounds the south-east side of the park represents one of the most well-known and important panoramic points of the city, from which it is possible to admire the sunrise over the Golfo degli Angeli and the Sella del Diavolo or the sunset towards the Capoterra mountains, without neglecting the spectacular view of the entire city,
