*If you are a cruise ship passenger you will have to take a cab or Uber to our meeting place. They are readily available at the harbor. The harbor it's about 20 mts drive from our meeting point. We can drop you off at the harbor.

Our day will begin with a treat, a visit to a local bakery to try delicious home made pastries, including the famous malasadas, AKA Portuguese donuts. What's not to like

Stop 3

Our first stop on tour will be in Wailua town. Great and Sacred Wailua was the main religious and political center of the island during ancient times. The Ali'i or royalty resided in this town, and most heiaus (temples of worship) were built here. In this area we will visit Poliahu Heiau, Opaekaa Falls, and Wailua River lookout (largest navigable river in the state) from two different lookouts. As you enjoy the beautiful scenery that surrounds you in every stop, your guide will share the fascinating stories of ancient times, and how the islands have changed in modern times.

Time to take a stroll down the path at beautiful Lydgate Beach Park. Soak your feet in the famous Morgan Ponds, learn about the ancient temple of worship where Hawaiians greeted the rising sun daily, the city of refuge, and more. This is a leisure walk for all age groups. you will have many picture opportunities.

Stop 5

You can't never have enough waterfalls on your vacation. From Wailua town we will head to Lihue town to visit the beautiful and famous Wailua Falls from the famous TV show "Fantasy island" You will have ample time to marvel at this beauty, take pictures, and check out some of the local vendors.

Stop 6

On our way to the Spouting Horn we will drive through the famous Tree Tunnel. Get ready to marvel at the power of nature at this ancient lava tube that became a water blow hole due to erosion caused by ocean waves. We will share the Hawaiian legend tied to this place, sound effects and all.

Lunch will take place in the historic town of Koloa where you will have many food options, from restaurants to food trucks. You will be free to choose what you want. We will spend about 1.5 hours here so you have plenty of time to eat, stroll through this charming plantation town, and do some shopping for locally made souvenirs (optional).

Stop 8

We will visit the lookout for of Kauia's oldest archeological sites located in a breathtaking wild life reserve in Lihue town. As you enjoy the beautiful scenery we will share with you the restoration project that is taking place, the legend of the little people of Hawai'i known as "The Menehunes" who built the pond, and the many Hollywood movies filmed in this area.

We will be eating at Lavas in Poipu. Your guide will text you the full menu the day before the tour. Make sure you provide a good phone number for us to contact you.
