We will depart from Chicago in the early morning to the picturesque Windmill Island. Holland is a city famous for its Dutch heritage. In the 19th century, a group of Dutch immigrants settled down here. We will tour downtown Holland on foot with the guidance of a local guide who will show us around the Dutch-inspired architecture in the city as well as tell us stories about the immigrants and the traditions they brought here.
Saugatuck is a Michigan gem that fits the description of a "little beach town," offering pristine shoreline, strolling the oval beach and enjoying the spring sea breeze; on Butler Street in the city center, Taste unique local delicacies, take a leisurely tour of art galleries, and experience local customs.
Windmill Island has the world-famous “De Zwaan” (the swan), an authentic windmill (shipped from Netherland) with approximately 250 years history. We have plenty of time taking a walk around the beautiful gardens on the island.
