Detailed itinerary

Stop 1

In the morning, you will be picked up at 7:20am the airport or your hotel in Delhi and transferred to the Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station. Your Superfast train will depart at approximately 8:10am to transfer you to Agra through the Indian countryside.

9:50am - upon your arrival at the Agra Cantt Railway Station, you will be met by your driver at the main exit gate, where he will be holding a sign with your name on it. You will then be taken to a 5-star hotel, where you can use the hotel wash rooms to freshen up.

Stop 3

Start your Agra tour with visit the magnificent Taj Mahal (Closed on Fridays), a UNESCO World Heritage Site one of the Seven Wonders of the World and surely the most extravagant expression of love ever created. 20,000 men laboured for over 17 years to build this memorial to Shah Jahan's beloved wife. It's a wealth of white marble and semi-precious stone – « undoubtedly the highlight of the tour » with your private guide.

At approximately 1pm, enjoy a lunch break at a great local, air-conditioned restaurant.

Next we, enjoy tour of the imposing Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, this powerful fortress of red sandstone encompasses, within its 2.5-km-long enclosure walls, the imperial city of the Mughal rulers. It comprises many fairy-tale palaces, such as the Jahangir Palace and the Khas Mahal, built by Shah Jahan; audience halls, such as the Diwan-i-Khas; and two very beautiful mosques.

Next, enjoy shopping in the markets of Agra, which are known for their marvelous handicrafts, made of marble and softstone inlay work. Browse through leatherware, brassware, carpets, jewelry and embroidery.

At the end of your memorable day, you will be transferred back to the Agra Cantt Railway Station to catch your train and Train Depart at 5:40pm to Delhi.

7:30pm - your train arrives in Delhi, you will be met by a driver who will return you to the airport or your hotel.
