About this experience

Hotel pick-up and drop-off is included on this wonderfully scenic tour of some of England's most beautiful rural scenery. Crossing the farmland of North Yorkshire, you will enjoy a stop in the moorside village of Hutton-le-Hole, before travelling across the heart of the wild and rugged North York Moors National Park. You'll enjoy a short visit to the tiny port of Staithes, taking in the spectacular views along the rugged coastline, before enjoying two hours in the fabulous seaside town of Whitby, famous for fish and chips as well as its association with Captain James Cook and Bram Stoker's Dracula. You'll then have time to wander through the maze of narrow, winding streets in the beautiful fishing village of Robin Hood's Bay. An optional visit to Goathland in the late afternoon gives Heartbeat fans the chance to see 'Aidensfield' and Harry Potter fans the opportunity to visit "Hogsmeade Station", before we make a final stop to see the ancient murals in Pickering Church.

We'll enjoy a stop in the idyllic moorside village of Hutton-le-Hole, with the opportunity to have tea/coffee in a local cafe (own expense).

Sightseeing drive through the National Park with chance to stop for photos, to learn about the history, geology, geography, culture and industry of the region.

We'll visit the tiny port of Staithes, taking in the spectacular views from Cowbar. You'll have chance to walk down the winding path to Staithes harbour and beach.

2 hours at leisure in Whitby, with time to explore the old town, the clifftop abbey, the Captain Cook Museum and the famous 199 steps. Also time to enjoy lunch in a local fish and chip restaurant.

We'll take you to Robin Hood's Bay, the beautiful fishing village built into the cliffs on the Yorkshire coastline. You'll have chance to get lost in the fascinating maze of winding lanes and wander on to the beach (depending on the tides).

Explore the moorland village of Goathland and discover its famous connections to Harry Potter and the ITV drama Heartbeat. See the idyllic railway station and take the opportunity to board a steam train here for a journey across the Moors (April-October only).

We make a stop in the town of Pickering to see the incredible 600-year-old murals in the Church of St Peter & St Paul.
