The Isthmus of Corinth is a narrow strip of land that connects Central Greece with the Peloponnese , while the canal that has been opened in it connects the Saronic Gulf with the Gulf of Corinth . It is about 6 kilometers long and the narrowest point is where the Corinth Canal was built (1880-1893). It was a strategic point and for this reason a wall had already been built since ancient times (end of the 5th century BC), which had been preserved until the Byzantines ( Hexamilion ).

The vaulted tomb of Atreus dominated the western slope of the ridge of Panagitsa, to the southwest of the acropolis of Mycenae and on the road axis that connected Mycenae with Heraion of Argos. It is one of the largest and most perfect Mycenaean vaulted tombs and the most impressive of the nine that have been found in Mycenae. It is dated between 1350 and 1250 BC.
Lion Gate is the popular modern name for the main entrance of the Bronze Age citadel of Mycenae in southern Greece. It was erected during the thirteenth century BC, around 1250 BC, in the northwestern side of the acropolis. In modern times, it was named after the relief sculpture of two lionesses in a heraldic pose that stands above the entrance.

Bourtzi is a castle located on the islet of Agios Theodoros in the middle of the port in Nafplio, about 400 meters from the pier.
The name that has prevailed is "Bourtzi", it comes from the Turkish-Arabic language and means "island-fortress" where it is the registered trademark together with the castle of Palamidi for Nafplio.
Its oldest name from the Venetians was "Castello dello soglio" and for the port "Porto di cadena", port of the chain, because every night five brothers reached from the rampart to Akronafplia until Bourji a chain and closed the port for security, while the Turks later surrounded it with the "porpela", an underwater barrier of stones so that it was not possible to approach by large ships.
To visit Bourtzi you should use the small boats located in the port of Nafplion.
The distance from the port with them is only 10 minutes and you get 20 minutes of browsing time.

Palamidi is a fortress to the east of the Acronauplia in the town of Nafplio in the Peloponnese region of southern Greece. Nestled on the crest of a 216-metre high hill, the fortress was built by the Venetians during their second occupation of the area (1686–1715).
The fortress was a very large and ambitious project, but was finished within a relatively short period from 1711 until 1714. It is a typical baroque fortress based on the plans of Venetian engineer Antonio Giancix and built by French military engineer Pierre de la Salle. In 1715 it was captured by the Ottomans and remained under their control until 1822, when it was captured by the Greeks.
The Archaeological Museum of the Asclepieion of Epidaurus is a small museum located inside a splendid Venetian building. It showcases the social development of Argolis, from ancient hunter-gatherers to more recent times. The museum houses findings from the surrounding sites, including the spectacular ruins of an enormous theater that is still in use today. This marvel of ancient engineering can hold up to 14,000 people and is renowned for its almost perfect acoustics.
The Theater of Asclepius of Epidaurus was built on the western side of Mount Kynorti, at the end of the Classical era. This unique monument, the most perfect and famous ancient Greek Theatre, which combines elegance with perfect acoustics, is according to Pausanias, the work of Polykleitos (the Younger), the creator of the Dome in the same sanctuary.
The sanctuary of Asclepius in Epidaurus was the largest healing center of antiquity. Τhe processional road led the Temple of the god, the Dome, one of the most elegant architectures of the classical era, a circular building, , the a place where patients were treated through their meeting with the god in their sleep. Near these buildings are the large building for the focus of the faithful after the sacrifice during the holidays and the also large hostel, in which the patients and their attendants resided. At the southern end of the sanctuary was built the famous ancient theater already in antiquity for its unsurpassed beauty and harmony and today the best preserved ancient theater, which now hosts modern performances. Recent restorations have made the form and function of the ancient sanctuary easily readable even by the non-expert.
