The public beach DE Tiahura is on the edge of a pretty wooded park. At your disposal, parking and a place to picnic in the shade. Another ideal spot to enjoy the landscapes that French Polynesia has to offer.

Opunohu Bay is one DE Moorea's main bays. It is a magnificent site that has served DE set for many films such as Les révoltés du Bounty.

The pass DE la Baie is called “Tareu” which means “sheltered” because EN fact, this harbor is deep and well protected from winds to anchor boats.

Opunohu means “the belly of the stone fish”.

Opunohu Bay is three kilometres DE long and 80 metres DE deep. On 30 September 1777, Discovery and Resolution, ships of the famous navigator Captain James Cook, entered DE Tareu's pass. He describes its anchorage as one of the best natural ports he has seen in the South Sea Islands.

This magnificent bay is full of stories and DE legends to discover.

A magnificent setting between land and sea.
DE Cook Bay is one DE Moorea's main bays. The pass overlooking the bay is called Teavaroa (long passage) DE because of its large opening to the sea. This bay was named "Baie DE Cook" during the third voyage of the navigator James Cook EN 1777.
The scenery is beautiful between the green peaks and mountains and the blue king DE the bay stretching for several kilometers. DE Cook Bay is also a safe place for boaters wishing DE anchor to reach land.
Legend DE tells that Pao Pao is the northern part DE the fin of the fish that came from Raiatea that became Tahiti and Moorea.
