The Florence Duomo, also known as Santa Maria del Fiore Cathedral, is located in Duomo Square. It is one of the greatest masterpieces of Gothic art and the first Italian Renaissance. The complex of the Cathedral of Florence includes the huge dome of Brunelleschi and the soaring Campanile of Giotto that next to the Battistero determine the silhouette of the city. ( exterior only )

The Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge) is a medieval bridge spanning the river Arno in Florence. It is one of the few remaining bridges with houses built upon. The Vasari corridor that runs over the houses connects the Uffizi with the Pitti Palace on the other side of the river.

Piazza della Signoria was created in the thirteenth century and became Florence's most important square thanks to the proximity of the Palazzo Vecchio and the Uffizi Palace. Sidewalk cafés line the pedestrian square, which is embellished with an impressive collection of statuary.
