The Hamburg City Hall is the seat of the Hamburg Parliament and the Senate of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. The architecturally magnificent building on the Kleine Alster was built from 1886 to 1897 in the historicist style of the Neo-Renaissance.
The St. Peter's Church is the oldest parish church in Hamburg. It is named after the Apostle Peter and is one of Hamburg's five main churches.
The Kornhausbrücke has been built over the Zollkanal. The customs channel runs on the northern edge of the Speicherstadt and until 2013 formed the customs border between the old town and the then free port area. He was built at the end of the 19th century from existing waters (inland port, Dovenfleet, Oberhafen) to the shipping channel to bypass the 1888 newly created free port area.
Sankt Katharinen is one of Hamburg's five main churches. Its tower tower from the 13th century is considered the oldest upright structure in Hamburg, which still fulfills its function.
The Trostbrücke spans the Nikolaifleet in Hamburg. It originally connected the Episcopal Old Town around the area of the cathedral and St. Peter's Church with the count's new town. Here was the medieval center of the city and the innermost part of the port from the Middle Ages to the Hamburg fire in 1842.
