About this experience
Bassano del Grappa is a real gem that will amaze you : the tour starts towards Ponte Vecchio, or the Ponte degli Alpini, the historical symbol of the city, of vital economic and military importance, was often destroyed by the war and the floods of the Brenta and always rebuilt, in stone or wood.
We will continue slightly uphill and admire ancient palaces, the remains of the ancient city walls, the Ezzelini Castle, Palazzo Pretorio, Piazza Garibaldi dominated by the Civic Tower that dominates the entire historic center.
You must visit a historic distillery where you will learn about the history of the most famous Italian distillate: grappa. You will discover its origins, how it was produced in the past and how this distillate of pomace (grape skins) is produced today and treat yourself to a guided tasting of grappa.
