The best way to experience the national park is by taking a guided boat tour down the river to go wildlife watching. The boat tour is about 1.5 hours long, going down the Tempisque River in a 20-25 seat motor boat.

you will arrive to enjoy a two-hour cruise along the river that has the nearest access to Palo Verde National Park. This river is one of most important of Costa Rica, because years ago, Tempisque River was used as a line of Transportation for people and goods like cattle and sugar cane. Possess large amount of birdlife, including aquatic birds such as herons, egrets, ibis, storks, roseate spoonbill and many other species.
