Pallay Punchu is one of the new tourist destinations in Cusco. It is known by various names: "Pallya Puncho", "Hill of colors with sharp points", "Sharp colored mountain" or simply "Pallay Poncho". It is part of the mountain 'Apu Taqllo Apacheta'. It stands out for its rocky formation with sharp peaks that shows a combination of colors with characteristics similar to the famous Andean ponchos. The colors that show its slopes are red (clay), whitish (quartz sand), yellowish (sandstone limonites) and fuchsia (mud and sand). The visit to the Pallay Punchu mountain includes a challenging hike surrounded by mountains, snow-capped mountains and the Langui lagoon.

It is a lagoon that in the future could be exploited for tourist purposes, but to date large-scale fish farming has been intensively practiced with the breeding of the species: silverside and trout. Its dimensions are as follows: Maximum length 16 km. Width 05 Km, Water mirror 58 square kilometers, Depth 232 m. It has its own native flora and fauna, its extension includes the territories of Langui and Layo, hence its name composed of 'Languilayo'
