From the heights, you will be surprised by the Main Square scene, where one can appreciate not only the historical city centre but also the panoramic view of the new city and the Jucar River’s meanders.

Guided visit to the Museum of Abstract Art

Saint Paul Bridge, designed by the Eiffel school, proposes a nice walk for the audacious and an adventure for the vertiginous, but everyone feels that they are located in one of the best sites in the city. The visitors have a similar feeling at the Castle District, where they can have an experience full of emotions looking towards the deep gorges from its viewpoints

The most well-known tourist attraction of the city are the Hanging Houses, an example of typical architecture in Cuenca, where the balconies invite you to simply observe the abyss. They have become the watchword and signal of the city. Other example of this local architecture are the Skyscrapers of San Martin, the first ten-floor buildings of the world

Inside the emblematic Hanging Houses we will find one of the most significant artistic exhibitions from the middle 20th century: The Museum of Abstract Art. This museum showcases hundreds of pictures and sculptures from the abstract generation of the fifties and the sixties, which continues, in a certain way, the innovative ideas of Picasso, Miró and Gris. One can enjoy Art works made by Canogar, Chillida, Feito, Millares, Oteiza, Tapies, Torner and Zóbel.
