About this experience

Stanserhorn is a hidden gem among the mountains surrounding Lake Lucerne.

Your journey begins with a pickup from your hotel by an guide-driver in a comfortable private vehicle (30min). The ascent to Stanserhorn is steeped in local history. Starting from Stans, you'll board a vintage funicular railway with open wood coaches dating back to 1893, offering a nostalgic 10 minutes trip through time.

Next, at the intermediate station, you'll experience the unique CabriO cable car with its open roof deck. Feel the wind in your hair, the blue sky above, and enjoy a fantastic 360° panorama. The CabriO cable car is the world’s first cable car with a roofless upper deck (10 minutes ride).

At the summit, you can have a lunch at a revolving restaurant, which completes a full rotation in 43 minutes, offering a continuously changing panorama of the Alps.

On this tour, you can experience the world's first open-air aerial cableway. Enjoy the fresh Alpine air and breathtaking views of Lake Lucerne as you ride the cabriolet cable car to Mt. Stanserhorn. At the peak, take your time to soak in the stunning panorama.

Upon reaching the summit station of Mount Stanserhorn, situated 1900 meters above sea level, you'll have up to three hours to explore the peak. Since this is a private tour, you can decide how long you'd like to stay. Enjoy the breathtaking views at your own pace, and consider having a lunch at the summit restaurant (note: lunch is not included in the tour price). The summit restaurant “Rondorama” revolves around its axis. The panorama of the Alps revolves in 43 minutes around you.
