The gateway to the historic center of San Marino. Also called "Porta del Paese", it is an old guard post built in 1361

Opened in the nineteenth century for the extraction of the stone necessary for the restoration of Palazzo Pubblico. Today set up for shooting competitions with the large Italian crossbow.

Rebuilt in neo-gothic style in 1894 to a design by architect Francesco Azzurri, on the foundations of the oldest "Magna Domus Communis", it was restored in 1996 by the architect Gae Aulenti. The people of San Marino recognize in this place where the Captains Regent, the Great and General Council, the State Congress and the most important civil demonstrations are based.

Built at the beginning of the 19th century on the foundations of the pre-existing Romanesque Pieve. Rich in statues and valuable paintings. The statue of San Marino is the work of Adamo Tadolini, favorite pupil of Canova; the high altar contains the urn with the relics of the saint.
