You'll be free to hike by yourself without following anyone.

NOTE:
(1) Please make sure to be at the meeting point on time. The group cannot wait for anyone who arrives 5 minutes later than the designated pick-up time.
(2) Please make sure to take your passport with you (passport of each traveler).
(3) Please take necessary food & drink for lunch.
Single trip driving to Jinshanling Great Wall from the pick-up point may take around 2 hours.
The driver will buy the main gate entrance ticket for you and tell you how to walk, where and what time to meet again.
You're supposed to hike by yourself for about 6km. If you're not in good physical condition, you can take the cable car to reach the half way on the Great Wall (cable car ticket is NOT included in the tour). Otherwise, cable car is not so necessary because it is quite easy to get on the Great Wall from middle gate of Jinshanling.
It's better to buy food & drink in the city in advance because things there on sale are very limited and we don't have time to sit down and eat in a restaurant.
