About this experience

Stop 1

Helsinki Central Library Oodi is a living meeting place at Kansalaistori square, right at the heart of Helsinki. It is one of 37 branches of Helsinki City Library and part of the Helmet library network.

Oodi complements the cultural and media hub formed by Helsinki Music Centre, Finlandia Hall, Sanoma House and the Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma. Oodi is a non-commercial, urban public space that is open to all, right opposite the Parliament Building.

Stop 2

The world famous composer Jean Sibelius' monument by Eila Hiltunen is located at the Sibelius park. The Sibelius Monument, resembling organ pipes, is made of welded steel. The monument is one of Helsinki's most popular statues and one of the most well-known tourist attractions a perfect place for a nice picture and learn about Sibelius.

Rock Church a stop to admire the amazing Architecture one of the main attractions in Helsinki. Situated in the heart of Helsinki Rock church hall is covered with a dome, lined with copper and supported on the rock. Due to its excellent acoustics the church is a popular venue for concerts.

Stop 4

Helsinki Uspenski Cathedral, With its golden cupolas and redbrick facade, the church is one of the clearest symbols of the Russian impact on Finnish history.

The Helsinki Central railway station, a pearl among Helsinki's art nouveau buildings, designed by Eliel Saarinen.

The Senate Square and its surroundings form a unique example of Neoclassical architecture. The square is dominated by four buildings designed by Carl Ludvig Engel, Helsinki Cathedral, the Government Palace, the main building of the University of Helsinki and the National Library of Finland.
