About this experience

Maribor is the second largest city in Slovenia. It is also the capital city of the traditional region of Lower Styria. The lovely architecture and the river Drava makes it even more attractive. In Lent – a part of the city you will admire the oldest vine in the world. Of course we will taste some good wines in one of the local wine cellars. The visit of Ptuj – the oldest Slovenian town and its castle on the hill will make this tour even more special and worth to remember.

Detailed itinerary

The tour starts from Ljubljana. The road to Maribor takes about 90 minutes. We will first visit the old town city centre and Lent, where the fameous oldest vine in the words is located. Some free time for individual activities, lunch or visits will be given.

The tour will proceed through the wine road in direction Jeruzalem. We will stop in one of the local wine cellars and taste some local wines.

Stop 3

We will visit Ptuj, the oldest town in Slovenia and the castle above the city. Return to Ljubljana in the late afternoon.
