The Jinshanling Great Wall is a complicated and well preserved fortification systems and possesses the largest number of watchtowers. These watchtowers were made by huge bricks, 5-8 miles high, and each one built in a different architectural style. The distance between each tower is about 50 to100 miles away. Some of them are half-timbered, some are stone, some with one eave, some with two-eave. The roofs of the towers are many and varied, flat,arched, quadrangular or octagonal. It is an exemplary section of the Great Wall and hence comes the saying that the Jinshanling section is the most essential part of the 10,000-li (6,700 kilometres) Great Wall.

Your tour starts from 8:00am, and you will arrive at Panlongshan beauty spot - Gubeikou Great Wall after about 2.5 hours driving. Then you will walk for 30 minutes to General Tower and turn right to highest point,after 1.5 to 2 hours, you will reach the 24-hole Guard Tower.
Continue go down to the valley because of military zone,you will see the old house that was built with Great Wall bricks on the way, where the local farmer lived before,we will go through corn field, go up to the hill and go down again to the village,where we have lunch in the local farmer's restaurant.It take 40 minutes after lunch to be back to the wall again,which is Jinshanling Great Wall,It is amazing view ahead.You will take a lot photos here. Keep walking towards east for 1.5 to 2 hours hiking, then you will reach the zhuanduokou where you will exit the Great Wall. you will be transfer back to your Beijing hotel. The entire hiking time for this tour is about 6 to 7 hours.
