The island is one of the treasures of Angra dos Reis. Its amazing natural beauty, has calm, crystal clear waters and a breathtaking turquoise blue. Perfect for swimming, snorkeling and watching marine life. Its white and fine sand, ideal for relaxing and sunbathing. The preserved native forest vegetation creates a lush and inviting setting.

The natural aquarium was named for the film starring actress Brooke Shields, a classic film from the 1980s. Its turquoise-blue water, with multicolored fish and cinematic beauty, make the place one of the most visited and contemplated in the Bay of Isla Grande. The immense pool is a sanctuary of marine life of incredible biodiversity. Floating under its coral gardens, the visitor is soon surrounded by colorful cardumes unusual with the delicacies offered by the tourists. During the stop it is possible to go down to swim, float with macarons, snorkel, stunned by the little fish that appear in the hills or simply appreciate the beauty of the place.

The beach is one of the stops that is in the part of Grand Island, the Grumixama Beach is a small, but charming beach of clear sand and rich vegetation. Considered one of the refuges in the region because it is rarely visited, it is an ideal place to relax in a delicious sea bath. It has a good range of sand, calm and transparent waters. Indicated for water sports such as snorkeling and diving is surrounded by plenty of green. The quiet environment is ideal for nature lovers, great to do that reading or admire the beautiful sunset that can be seen from the place.

With access by the sea or, for those who come from Parroquia de Santana by trail – way of approximately 10min, passing through the famous church of the late 19th century, nature lovers who prefer a place to relax will find on-size. With a golden tone of its beach, it has, in addition to calm and crystal clear waters, the perfect atmosphere that relaxing sea bath. Another ideal place to rest in the shade of a tree and admire the sunset.

With a long range of sand, the Praia das Flechas is perfect for both those who like quiet, and those who like a busy, especially on sunny weekends, the place is busy. Location of the first restaurant of Gipóia, the traditional Bar do Luiz, its sands facilitate a walk after lunch, not losing sight of the imposing Ilha Grande and it goes and comes from the boats that circulate through the bay. The place also has gastronomic infrastructure and accommodation.
