This tiny church dates back to the 14th century and was originally dedicated to St. Anne of the Rock under the name Santa Maria del Ponte. The Scaligero Castle is a stronghold that dates back to the time of the Scaliger family and serves as a gateway to the ancient district of Sirmione, which is located on Lake Garda. It is one of the castles in Italy that has been preserved the best.

A lovely yellow mansion, once owned by Maria Callas, may be seen among the ancient trees of via Catullo in the center of the Sirmione peninsula. For many years, it served as the vacation home of Veronese industrialist Giovan Battista Meneghini and his famous opera singer wife, Maria Callas.

7

The Church of San Pietro in Mavino, which dates back to the time of the Longobards and was constructed in the eighth century A.D., is the oldest church in Sirmione. In the year 1070, the Romanesque bell tower underwent renovations, and in the year 1320, when the church was being rebuilt, the first frescoes were painted, which can still be viewed today.
