About this experience

We start at the famed Pantages Theatre. Since the 1930’s the bar there has been used by the actors that graced the stage. Next we visit a rooftop bar. From there we can look over the roofs and see all the way from the iconic Hollywood Sign to the towers of DTLA. After that we’ll discover a speakeasy bar that’s hidden in the oldest house in Hollywood, before ending the tour at a glamorous restaurant popular with the biggest stars, from 1919 to today.

Over the evening we’ll regale you with stories detailing how this small farming town became the most famous place on earth. Join us on the Hollywood Speakeasy Bar Tour and have the adventure of a nighttime.

Stop 1

Learn how and why the movie industry first moved to this small country town and what it was like back then.

We'll start the evening off at the famed Frolic Room, a speakeasy inside the Pantages Theatre since 1934.

Stop 3

Walk the famous boulevard as you learn its fascinating history.

Enjoy the views from the rooftop bar here as you look over the city from the Hollywood Sign to the towers of downtown.

Stop 5 Pass by

Learn about this icon as you get some great views of it from a rooftop bar.

Enjoy a cocktail in the restaurant made famous by the Hollywood Royalty that have eaten here since 1919.

Enjoy a cocktail at this historic bar with its hidden entrance.

Venue for the first ever Academy Awards ceremony and often used by famous actors, such as Marilyn Monroe.

What's not included

Drinks are not included. We recommend cocktails in each bar, based on its location & a Hollywood era. You don’t have to order a drink (although you'll definitely want one).

This is a walking tour and we move at a reasonable pace. If you have mobility issues please book a private tour via our website.

Meeting point

The guide will be will be checking-in guests from 15 minutes before the tour begins at the meeting point. The Pantages Theatre is right opposite Hollywood and Vine Metro Station. Be sure to allow extra time for traffic and finding parking. We CANNOT wait for latecomers, there are other guests.

PREPARATION

Please wear comfortable shoes, but no shorts or flip-flops (several bars don't allow). Also be sure to bring official ID, to prove that you're over 21 y.o.

Allow PLENTY of time to get to the meeting point. Remember that YOU'RE responsible for getting to the meeting point on time - not us.

TRANSPORT / PARKING

There's parking in Hollywood, but it can be hard-to-find and expensive, so please consider taking public transport or a taxi / ride-share.

MEETING THE GUIDE

The guide will be checking-in guests from 15 minutes before the tour at the entrance to the Pantages Theatre on Hollywood Boulevard..

Don't worry about us, we've been doing this 10 years - all you need to do is make sure you're there and we'll take care of the rest.

It's very likely there will be other guests on this tour, so we CANNOT hold for latecomers and there is NO phone or email help center, there's no point - you have all the info you need right here.
