About this experience
You will be picked up at the hotel in Cairo at 8:00 am and will travel to Alexandria for approximately 3 hours on a comfortable, air-conditioned bus. Arriving in Alexandria, the visit of the Pompeius Column is the first stage. It rises on ancient remains of the wall and over the ruins of the famous Serapis temple. Afterwards, visit the catacombs of Kom El-Shokafa. The rest of the trip will take you to the famous Qaitbay Citadel after lunch. It was built on the site of the once famous Lighthouse of Alexandria. The excursion ends with a visit to the impressive library of Alexandria, with its unusual architecture and the magnificently landscaped gardens of Montazah. Afterwards the transfer bus will take you back to your hotel.
