Perhaps no city is as closely interwoven with the history of Egypt as Luxor. The great past of the “City of Palaces” lives on to this day. Next to the famous Valley of the Kings and the Temple of Hatshepsut is the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Karnak Temple in Luxor.

Sightseeing/Itinerary in Luxor

You will be picked up from your hotel by air-conditioned bus and will reach the city of Luxor in approximately 4.5 - 5 hours. With our Egyptologist tour guide, you will explore the Karnak Temple and be transported back in time. Your path then takes you to the west bank of the Nile, to the two colossal statues of Amenhotep III, also known as the Colossi of Memnon. In the Valley of the Kings you will visit magnificent tombs and then the impressive temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Finally, you will have some free time in Luxor before traveling back to your hotel in Hurghada.

Early in the morning you will be picked up from your hotel in Hurghada, El Gouna, Makadi or Soma Bay to Luxor in an air-conditioned minivan.

The distance from Hurghada to Luxor is approximately 290 kilometers. They drive approximately. 4.5 to 5 hours to arrive in Luxor.

After arriving in Luxor, you will meet your tour guide and the first stop will be to visit the impressive Colossi of Memnon.
