About this experience

On this tour we will visit some of the famous sites featured in the Outlander series. This tour can be taken fron your cruise liner port ( Invergordon ) or from your accomodation in Inverness or close by.

Sites include the Priory in the village of Beauly, Wardlaw Mausoleum, the burial place of Lovat Frasers, Inverness for lunch ( optional ), Clava Cairns where the split stone is situated and the Battlefield at Culloden.

Stop 1

Step back in time!!! Get youreself emerged into this ancient place. The Clava Cairns date back 4000 years and they were originally used as burial chambers. This site was Dianna Gaballdon's inspiration for the Outlander tv series.

Stop 2

Walk along the field of the last battle in the Brittish Isles. The Jacobite uprising of 1746. Step into the footsteps of Bonnie Prince Charlie and his Jacobite followers.

Stroll around the town.
Have lunch and browse the shops.
