Arrive at Aswan to visit the unfinished obelisk in Aswan northern granite quarry. The obelisk still attached to the rock on the bottom side, the project was abandoned because of the crack appeared in the granite single block. If finished, it would have measured around 42m (approximately 137 feet) and would have weighed nearly 1,200 tons.
Proceed to visit Aswan high dam, an embankment dam built across the Nile at Aswan, between 1960 and 1970 with the aim to regulate river flooding, provide a store of water for agriculture and obviously to generate power.
Enjoy a short motor boat ride to Philae Temple Island, The most ancient structure was the temple of Isis, built in the reign of Nectanebo I during 380-362 BC, which was approached from the river through a double colonnade.
