The Algarve is a new Portuguese wine destination, for the country with the most wine consumption per capita, we now have 60 wineries in the Algarve, only 31 just five years ago. I’ve found two of the best and most awarded and want to show them to you.
Pickup included
Picking up in Lagos at 12.30pm, we´ll enjoy a 40 minute drive and arrive at Quinta do Frances Winery. Here we´ll sample 3 wines and explore the beautiful surroundings of the winery. There is the optional addition for a tour of the winery.
This gorgeous natural park is not on the beaten path, it’s a real Algarve hidden gem. Full of beautiful walking trails around the Arcade River, we can even get involved in exercise points or a fresh water swim during our walk. While here we’ll enjoy a fresh picnic lunch and enjoy the beautiful nature.
Quinta dos Vales winery is a gorgeous award winning winery. The setting is quite stunning with sculptures and activities throughout. Wine tastings and descriptions of the wines are optional, but regardless you will enjoy the setting.
We meet outside Jah Shaka Surf Shop at 13,30, in a Big Silver Ford Transit Van.
