We leave Quito, or its surroundings, to go south, to the Cotopaxi Province, and enter the Cotopaxi National Park. We will meet our local guide and together we will start this adventure. We will visit the José Rivas Refuge located at more than 4500 meters above sea level, then we will go down to the Limpio Pungo Lagoon and finally we will visit the National Park Interpretation Center. In the afternoon we will return to Quito.
Laguna Limpiopungo Cotopaxi is a place intended for naturalistic tourism, where it is possible to take walks and enjoy the flora and fauna.
From the Lagoon it is possible to observe the traces left by the ancient volcanic eruptions of the majestic Cotopaxi; same activity that has given rise to the formation of the Limpiopungo Lagoon.
