We start at an altitude of 500m from sea level, decent approximately 250m.the first few hundred meter are a little steep. Down the walking path becomes easy. Totally walking distance about 5 km. This route is just enough to don’t “suffer” from muscle pain the day after. Half way there is a resting point in the shadow of the trees, next to the river. Almost at the end of the gorge we will pass from an old bridge builded at the Venetian occupation.

2

The Driver will pick you up from the road for the 5 minutes during transfer to the village Polyrinnia, which is situated at an altitude of 400m. We will visit the small village which has been builded with the materials that remained from the archeological city of Polyrinnia. There has been a renovation of the ancient aqua duct and we can see a lot of old style houses and an old olive factory which is not in use anymore.
