About this experience

Our Alleppey Backwater Day Tour offers an authentic experience of Kerala’s most sought-after destination, known for its criss-cross canals and serene village life. During the trip, you’ll glide through lush green paddy fields, narrow canals, and peaceful local villages. You’ll also witness daily life along the waterways — fishing, farming, and traditional homes — as well as spot a variety of birds, including the vibrant kingfisher. All these make this journey a truly memorable experience.

This 5-hour day cruise covers some of the most beautiful canals such as Punnamada, Irumbanam, Kainakari Village, and Muttel Canals. A highlight of the tour is the “Kuttamangalam” narrow canal cruise in an open country boat — a rare opportunity to explore the most scenic and tranquil parts of the backwaters up close.

To complete the experience, enjoy a traditional Kerala lunch, featuring local specialties such as fresh fish “Karimeen,” served in authentic Kerala style.
