About this experience

Step into a world where breathtaking wildlife encounters meet rich cultural heritage. Our Golden Monkey Trekking & Cultural Experience offers more than just a safari - it’s a journey into the heart of Rwanda’s natural wonders and vibrant traditions.

Unlike other primates, Golden Monkeys are found only in the Virunga Mountains, making this a truly rare wildlife experience. Trek through misty bamboo forests in Volcanoes National Park alongside expert guides to witness these endangered, fast-moving primates in action. Watch them swing, leap, and play with unfiltered energy - just meters away from you.

After the trek, connect with Rwanda’s soul at Gorilla Guardians Village, a living cultural center powered by former poachers turned conservation heroes. Engage in hands-on activities like grinding millet, shooting traditional bows, joining in celebratory Intore dances, and even participating in a joyful mock Rwandan wedding ceremony.
