About this experience

Our most popular tour! Enjoy a full-day, self-guided biking tour (riding FUN e-bikes) to some of the regions finest wineries to enjoy wine tastings galore. We take you (and your bike) at 10am out to the stunning Cape Kidnappers where your easy, flat cycle route starts. This trail cycles past 5 award-winning wineries along a 20km stretch of easy, scenic cycle pathways.

Meet our van at the last winery at Havelock North at Black Barn Vineyard for a 4pm transfer back to your pick up point. A truly memorable experience enjoying the best wineries of Hawke's Bay on a bike!

If you have booked this tour on a Saturday or public holiday, we totally recommend making bookings at the wineries you want to stop at.

Meet here to catch our shuttle at 10am. Your tour includes bike, pannier & helmet hire, water bottle, route instructions & trail map, wine pick up service and return transport to Napier. (Min 2 people per booking).

This is your starting point - our van transfers you here.
You will be set up on your bike (choose an e-bike for extra cruisey riding) and be given a briefing on the route before you set off, cycling at your own pace to enjoy the scenery and visits to the various wineries along the way.
Visit Hygge Cafe here OPEN 7 days in summer for a coffee or snack for the cycle ride.

OPTION Wine Tasting and food. Clearview Estate rustic cellar door greets you with a friendly warm welcome. Leave with a fabulous bottle or two of their acclaimed wines, or a few cases for your cellar! Lunch available here - bookings highly recommended during the summer months.
Open Wed-Sun till 5pm during the summer.

OPTION Wine Tasting - small plates. By now you'll be ready to taste fine wine at Elephant Hill known for its spectacular location and buildings. Tastings and food available here - bookings advised.

OPTION Wine Tasting. Established in 1896, Te Mata Estate remains family owned, producing internationally recognized wines exclusively from its Hawke’s Bay vineyards. Well worth a stop to taste their wines.

This is your end point and where you will meet our shuttle van at 4pm for a transfer back to your starting point.
Your adventure ends at Black Barn winery - chose to stay and soak in the atmosphere with a chilled out wine tasting. Visit the bistro for a late lunch - kitchen closes 2.30pm.

NOTE: tour starts with a 10am shuttle from our base in Napier to the first winery and a 4pm shuttle from the last winery back to Napier.
Opening days and hours at wineries vary, we will advise you where possible
Please note that wineries charge for tastings (this is not included). The charge is around NZ$15-50 per person and is usually rebated against any purchases
On Saturdays and public holidays, BOOKINGS are recommended at the wineries you want to visit. Te Mata and Askerne welcome walk-ins however!
